So you want to know who I am?

My name is Tabatha and I am 28 years old. I've been going to college off and on for the last 10 years, mostly a class here and a class there. I am taking my first full class load this semester. I'm about 16 units away from my A.S. I'm majoring in Physics with a minor in Astronomy. My goal is to become a planetary scientist.
I've been married for nine years and have three children. My son Jordan is eight and I have twin girls, Genevieve and Liliana who are 16 months old. I grew up in a little town called Felton just a few miles from Santa Cruz. I am the oldest of 12 children.
The biggest thing in my life right now is preparing for an upcoming surgery. I will be donating a kidney to my husband who has Alports.
I am very motivated, dedicated and collected. I consider myself of great patience and compassion and have very lofty goals for myself. I don't worry about the time slipping by, as long as I'm moving forward and not stagnating.

Even thought im not in your blog group, it's ncie to see someone else at ealst did the intro post. And wow. That's amazing. Twelve siblings, three children, AND donating a kidney. You are an American Hero. You may never be written about in story books, but to your husband, you mean the world, and are giving it to him. Amazing.

Hi, Tabatha, an amazing intro. My brother majored in Astronomy and Physics at U Michigan in Ann Arbor. He wanted to be an astronaut but could not for physical reasons. So he helped create a proton microscope, of all things.

Amy, that is soooo cool. It's incredibly difficult to become an astronaut, both intellectually and physically, but a discoverer is a discoverer, and even though your brother couldn't fly into space at least he can fly into atoms! Are you a genius too?

You seem like the American Supermom! that is very inspiring what you are doing to help your husband! while still caring for your children! I wish you luck with everything! Hope everything goes well with your surgery Supermom!

I commend you for going into surgery for your husband, thats great. Any specific reason for majoring in Astronomy?

Hi Tabatha (Fed), naw, not a genius by any stretch of the imagination. Just love learning stuff. I had to laugh out loud at your profile - I will also read the car manual if left alone in the car! :-)

I went a different route than my brothers (4 of them) and sister (1 of them). They were math/science oriented and I gravitated toward performing, literary and visual arts. We do, however, all read voraciously over a wide range of disciplines.

When do you sleep?!? I complain about my life but I think you have a lot more going on than me! I admire you for what you have done and hope you enjoy the class.
