I love astronomy. LOVE astronomy. I find it fascinating, exciting, stimulating and fun. I believe that there are other planets in the universe which support breathing, walking, talking life, and I aim to prove their existence. I think this is really cool, tell me what you think:

Antares is 1000 light years away and is the 15th brightest star in the sky.

Here's a pic of deep space from Hubble. Can you see the galaxies? Now check this out:
This pic is a zoom-in of the darkest spot on the picture above. Check out the amazing arms on that spiral! This is why I love astronomy. Not many things are cooler than that. (Plus, if you ever get a chance, read Greene's book The Elegant Universe, it will rock your world!)

Those are wonderful illustrations/photos! I had just read in a little star chart that the sun was many times larger than the planets in our system. Wow, Antares illustration is mindblowing.
I just figured out how to find Perseus constellation and decided it looks like a Phrygian cap with the Pleiades as a sortof little cotton tuft on the end.
Oops, that's Plieades for the pure-in-spelling out there. How many stars can you see in the Plieades?
Crazy pictures, I enjoy seeing the true size difference of the planets. Crazy to think that they are THAT HUGE, when all they look like are dots in the sky from earth.
Hi Tabatha! Where did you find these wonderful pictures. I am taking an astronomy lab class right now and I have never been amazed by stars and planets until now. I could understand how you could love astronomy. My goal is to see all the stars in the star wheel and to be able to name at least 30. Wish me luck!
Thanks for the pictures. My daughter has been asking about the solar system lately!
